Welcome to the Sun City Ukulele website! The Sun City Ukulele Club is dedicated to having fun! We meet every Thursday to sing and play a variety of songs. We welcome all RCSC card holders regardless of skill level and provide free lessons on the first and third Thursdays from October – March. We also have an acoustic jam group that meets the 1st/3rd Sundays 2:30-4:30pm at Fairway Recreation Center (October - May).
How can I join? Any Sun City resident, RCSC card holder can join us at 3PM any Thursday at the Fairway Recreation (10600 W Peoria Ave, Sun City, AZ 85351) Center in the 2nd floor music room. Talk to the friendly people at the front desk and they can sign you up for our club.

NEWS FROM TRUDY
Hello Fellow Uker,
Many thanks to Bob Isaacson and Kristy Worden for leading the first two jams in October. And, thanks to Jane Higgs for conducting the Orientation session. As a result, we have 2 new members.
This Thursday, I will be leading the jam. Click here for the merged pdf of the charts. This jam will be our practice for the All Club Gig on October 19 for the NextGen Club. Call is at 7pm. We perform from 7:30 – 8:30 on the Sundial stage. I am so proud and pleased that 50 of you have signed up to perform
I will conduct a second Orientation session on Thursday October 22 from 1:30 – 2:30pm. Invite your friends to come learn about our club and play/sing some songs together. Mentorship lessons for club members start on Thursday November 5 at 1:30pm.
We have been invited to the PHOENIX UKULELE FUN FESTIVAL sponsored by the Phoenix Ukulele Group at the Glendale Public Library Main Campus on January 16, 2027. It is a day of community strumming, breakout sessions, and high energy play-alongs on the big screen for all skill levels. Every Arizona ukulele club has been invited. It is FREE! OPEN MIC ---TIME TO PUT ON YOUR THINKING CAPS! Thursday, October 29th. 3-4:30pm Music Room. Sue Norris will host and wants to encourage you to prepare a song to share with fellow club members. It’s close to Halloween, so your songs could be so related, or not……your choice. Halloween candy will be provided. If you are not comfortable going up by yourself, we can help you find a partner. Please come even if you do not plan to perform. Your fellow ukers will appreciate your support.
All Club Performance Dates:
1. Monday, October 19, 7:30 – 8:30pm. For the NextGen Club. On the Sundial stage. Click here for merged pdf of the charts. We will practice these songs at the jam I am leading on October 15. Please sign-up on the orange sheet at the front desk or call/text me and I will add your name to the list. I need an approximate count so I can submit a setup for the stage.
2. Saturday, November 28, 11:00 – 11:45am for the shoppers at the Arts and Crafts Festival. In the Sundial Atrium Click here for the merged pdf of the charts.
3. Saturday, December 12, 1pm – 2pm in the sanctuary of the All Saints of the Desert Episcopal Church 9502 W Hutton Dr, Sun City. This is an all day festival with activities from 9am to 6pm. Breakfast with Santa is from 9am-11am. Set-list to be determined.
PLEASE NOTE: All members are invited to participate, regardless of skill levels. We only require that you smile!
SUN CITY UKE FEST ’27: Save the Dates: February 11 and 12, 2027 for our club’s first ever Ukulele Festival featuring Heidi Swedberg and Daniel Ward. Come attend workshops, a concert, jamming and open mic. Tickets will go on sale soon and will be open to our club members for 4 weeks, before being offered to the public. Click here for the flyer.
